|Jennifer looks forward to an exciting second year as president of FRES PTA. She has been highly active in the FRES community for six years through PTA and classroom volunteering. Before becoming president, Jen served as 2nd VP and chaired the Spiritwear, teacher appreciation and ice cream social committees. She enjoys helping out wherever needed. She looks forward to working closely with teachers, parents and administration to continue some of the great activities and programs the FRES PTA has to offer while implementing new ideas to benefit our students and staff of FRES.
Jen is married to her husband, Tom, and they have two beautiful daughters. Their oldest is a 7th grader at Patuxent Valley Middle School and their youngest is in the 3rd grade. Before making the decision to stay home with their girls, Jen taught third grade in Howard County schools for several years and has even more years of early childhood experience. Besides her involvement in FRES, she and her family are highly involved in their church, and Jen is the leader of both of the girl's Girl Scout troops. In her "spare time" she likes to walk, camp, scrapbook, quilt and occasionally, read.
