FRES PTA Committees

Committees are VITAL to the work of the Forest Ridge PTA! Committees make it possible for many people to carry out the mission of the PTA throughout the year and are a great way to get involved in a specific area of your interests or talents!

Each Committee will also need a Committee Chair that will then be considered a member of the FRES PTA Board; please note if you would be interested in chairing.

2024-2025 FRES PTA Committees

• Membership: promote and track membership
• Fundraising: works with Treasurer on fundraising and budgeting
• Communications & Technology Support: website, social media accounts, server and email supports
• Staff Appreciation: organize demonstrations of appreciation and encouragement for FRES Staff, quarterly meals, coffee carts, wish lists, etc.
• Watch D.O.G.S.: “Dads of Great Student” program implementation, liaison between the school, PTA, and Watch D.O.G.S, advocate for involvement and activities
• Signature Events: each subcommittee plans, promotes, and organizes their respective event(s)
  • Fall Festival
  • Culture Fest
  • Spring Carnival
• 5th Grade Celebrations and Activities: liaison with 5th Grade Lead Teachers, plan, fundraise, and organize activities unique to 5th grade promotion including: SCH, end of year celebration, tshirts
• FRES Annual Student Yearbook: the FRES yearbook is organized, designed and managed by this PTA committee
• Fine Arts & Student Enrichment Programs (before/after school, assemblies, etc): sponsors the Reflections Arts Competition, Drama Club, before and after school family enrichment opportunities
• Health & Wellness Committee: physical and mental health; organize health and wellness activities
